There's something about watching fireworks that pulls a whole town outside at once. Blankets on the grass, kids chasing each other between bites of a hot dog, neighbors catching up while they wait for the sky to go dark. It's one of those nights that reminds you why you love where you live (or why you might love living somewhere new).
This year's 4th of July weekend falls on Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4, and with 2026 marking America's 250th birthday, towns across Northern New Jersey are putting on some of their biggest celebrations in years. We pulled together the details for every show across our service area (dates, times, and exact addresses) so you can plan your weekend without digging through ten different town websites
A quick note on times: some towns commit to an exact minute, and some simply say "fireworks at dusk." We've marked those clearly below. In early July, dusk in North Jersey generally falls between 8:30 and 9:00pm, with fireworks usually starting closer to 9:00 or 9:30pm.

A Few Tips Before You Go
Arrive early. Parking fills up fast in towns with ticketed events like Ridgewood and Clifton, and the most popular viewing spots (Foschini Park, Overpeck, Paramus High School) get crowded well before the show starts. Bring a blanket rather than a chair where the rules call for it, and check each town's site for road closures if you're driving in from out of town.
