Sew in Bloom: A Mother's Day Sip & Sew Friday, May 8th | Casa de Flora Bar

Looking for something a little different for Mother's Day this year? This intimate sip and sew event invites you to create a floral bag charm while enjoying a complimentary drink. Come with your mom, bring a friend, or make it a solo outing. All levels welcome and spots are limited, so register early.


Montclair Literary Festival Saturday, May 2 through Sunday, May 11

This year marks the 10th anniversary of one of the area's most beloved cultural events. With over 60 authors across 34 events, the festival features conversations on everything from artificial intelligence and politics to poetry and debut fiction. Featured authors include Tom Perrotta, Eugene Robinson, Xochitl Gonzalez, and Joyce Carol Oates, among many others. The majority of events are free and open to all with no registration required.


Paint & Pour Candle Making Class Saturday, May 9th

NJMVC Mobile Inspection Unit in Cedar Grove Friday, May 15th | 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Cedar Grove Community Pool, 99 Slattery Drive

Skip the trip to the DMV. The NJMVC Mobile Inspection Unit is coming right to Cedar Grove. Passing vehicles receive an inspection sticker on the spot. For more information, contact the Township of Cedar Grove at 973-239-1410.


39th Annual Rose Squared Art Show at Verona Park Saturday, May 16th and Sunday, May 17th | 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. | Rain or Shine

More than 90 artisans gather at beautiful Verona Park for this long-running juried art show. Browse fine art and handcrafted work spanning ceramics, jewelry, painting, glass, fiber, photography, and more. With over 54 acres of parkland along a stunning lake, it's as much a great day outside as it is a shopping experience.
